Finland rules - With four drivers from the land of the 1000 lakes in the semi-finals, the Sweden Internationals at Tierp Arena almost looked like a round for a Finnish Top Fuel Championship..

Last season Michael Gullqvist added to his honours and accolades by becoming the first Pro Mod racer not only to win the FIA European Championship a second time, but to secure the title without winning a race. That will not happen this year.. 

Before this event, the championship leader was Thomas Lindström with 82 points leading from Micke Callin on 58 points, Conrad Stanley with 36 and Jimmy Ålund on 35..

At the Sweden Internationals in the end it was all about one man in the Top Methanol Funny Car category.. a man that has been away from racing a lot the last two years but now is back in his right element..

Who would have thought that the small island of Malta could contribute with two of the quickest Top Methanol Dragster teams for the season 2012.. While one took the win at Santa Pod three weeks ago the other went after the win at Tierp Arena..  

First time for this season that Ian King and Peter Svensson met on track.. on both showed  they can deliver. The final was one of the most exciting seen in Top Fuel Bike..

Nate Gagnon from Canada in points lead before the event while reigning champion Per Bengsston missed out the first event. Bengtsson showed the crowd he was hungry for as well records as event wins!  

Lyrén was in points lead before the event and has started the season well. 2010 Champion Ulf Ögge has a disastrous season 2011. At the Sweden Internationals it came together and fell in place för team Bikeline..

Swedish Record in Stock at Sweden International

During the qualifications at Tierp Arena Tomas Kaakinen from Borlange did catch the fastest time ever in the class Stock. He started to race four years ago and last winter he took pension!

A dream came true - Leif Andreasson is now the fastest Top Methanol Funny Car driver in Europe, the first to make a 5.50 run in Europe, and that just right from the trailer and at his own track..

Anticlimax for the EDRS classes  after Thursday´s and Friday´s five qualification rounds. Except for one round in Jr Dragster early Saturday morning , there were no eliminations for due to weather delays..
