Marcus Back Andersson is now into he´s 7th season of Junior Dragracing and he has increased the level of performance every season since he started racing. Now he takes a new big step in his carrier. At the end of July Marcus and his family go overseas to race in one of Americas biggest Junior drag racing competitions, the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals. And he’s the first junior from Sweden to do this!

Denmark based Andersen Racing has decided to pack down all their gear, and ship the race car back to Europe after  having particpated in a few overseas races  late 2011.

In 2011 the Gulf Oil DragRacing Top Fuel motorbike of Ian King came within a whisker of taking the UEM European Drag Racing title at the first time of asking.

Malta's Duncun Micallef is to drive in Top Fuel Dragster this season. Duncun will be licencing in one of Rune Fjeld's Top Fuellers at the Autotrader Easter Thunderball at Santa Pod Raceway in April and the plan is then to contest the class at June's FIA Main Event.

A warm welcome for the EDRS European Drag Racing Series in the Netherlands

No less than three European drag racers at the entry list for this year’s NHRA Tire Kingdom Gatornationals, the third round of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. All three showed great form, qualified for eliminations and let their opponents run for their money in the first round. But still they did not survive that first round in the world’s most competitive drag racing championship.

February 11th saw the official presentations of the 2012 British Drag Racing Hall of Fame (BDRHoF) awards as part of the joint APIRA – SPRC Champions Night held in Solihull, near Birmingham in the UK.
