A European invasion at Pomona! No fewer than three European Top Fuel drivers tried to qualify for the NHRA Auto Club Finals. With Lex Joon in the number ten position, Jöran Persåker in eleventh and Stig Neergaard fifteenth, everything looked good after the first session of qualifying.
