The European finals provided us 8 new champions which we will spend more time talking with in the forthcoming edition. But first we wish to introduce them to You!

The 2012 FIA European Top Fuel Championship came to an end in the best possible way. Sunshine, good traction, fast times and high speeds, season's best performances, close racing and at least two people who saw a dream come true.

For a man so rich in Pro Modified accomplishments, Michael Gullqvist made heavy weather of winning Santa Pod's European Finals.

The European finals weekend at Santa Pod benefitted from excellent weather for the whole event. Track temperatures were high, weather was warm and dry, and crowds were numerous and appreciative.

The qualifications in Top Methanol Funny Car included an unwanted and truly nerve wrecking feature, when one of Leif Andréasson´s rear tires exploded at high speed.

Who would have thought a few years back that the Mediterranean holiday paradise island of Malta would rule part of FIA European Drag Racing Championship Racing? Well in 2012 it became a fact.

The intitial question on everybody´s mind I think was if Peter Svensson and crew could perform again at the level we saw at Tierp Arena during the Scandinavian Internationals.. and the answer? Yes, they could and they did..

For the first time the European Champions title was to go to a non European.. that was anticipated before the event. But it was two different riders who was to make it to the podium, and one could not have anticipated their success just by looking at the qualification list.

Entering the European Finals there was a tie in points between Fredrik Fredlund and Ulf Ögge. And the battle between the two should go on all the way to the final.

New UEM Top Fuel Bike Champion Ian King is always professional in his appearance and approach and the team publish their own press releases on a regular basis. We have included the latest one at the bottom of this page and in addition took the opportunity to ask Ian a few questions that we were interested to find out his thoughts on.

Late announced in the EDRS, Division South was an extra event for Funny Bike at Mosten Raceday, Denmark on request from the class itself and the organizers.
