I wish to start this newsletter by writing a few words about the loss of a highly respected collegue, Paula Marshall the secretary of Santa Pod Racers Club, who sadly lost the battle to leukemia a short while back. I did not have the honor of being a personal friend of Paula´s, but we had contact in connection with the championship races at Santa Pod over many years and met at other race tracks as well, in Hockenheim and Kunmadaras for instance when she was on duty also outside the UK assisting other organizers as the skilled administrator and co-ordinator she was. For me Paula was the face and heart of Santa Pod Racers Club. Helpful, efficient and on top of things and most often with a smile on her face. It is impossible not to appreciate a person like Paula and realise what a heck of a job (please excuse my language), she actually did. And beside that she seemed to be a genuinely nice and caring person. I will forever remember Paula with respect and appreciation for her contribution to European drag racing. My dear collegue Andy Rogers of eurodragster.com has naturally chosen to dedicate his Editor´s Diary in this edition to Paula.
