Leanders car is in the US and Andréasson sold his to Malta based Chris Farrugia, who has yet to complete a license before commencing his methanol funny car career.

On the other hand, two drivers who were not present at Mantorp Park 2009 enters the scene again this time; Arvid Grödem and Rob Turner. Both with new cars for this season just like Jarmo Kuutniemi. Last year, with his old car he ran a best of 5.86 sec/391 km. The potential for a repeat or improvement is obvious in Jarmo´s case if the track can take it.

Dan Larsen made it to the final at the VEIDEC Festival last year (against Leanders but the final run rained out). We are pretty sure he was not content with the performance level that time (a best of 6.01 sec).

Bellio ran 5.88 last year, feels like a level within reach. A bump spot under 6 seconds should be a realistic scenario for the 6 competitive cars on site. 8 spots in the elimination ladder mean all have a place in the competition on Sunday august 1st.
