Round four of the TMFC championship had the teams racing in front of big crowds at Hockenheim. The seven entries were all taking it seriously and the qualifying times showed that everyone was intent on scoring points and going rounds in eliminations.
The race also saw the welcome return of Swiss racer Dezsoe Krivan to the TMFC ranks after 7 years rebuilding his operation, destroyed in a huge fire. He was was racing alongside all the teams who had been at the Mantorp meeting, where they had been rained off, and all having unfinished business. Dan Larsen quickly stamped his authority on qualifying and ended up Q1 for the second race in a row ( 5.858/394.59). Local hero Jürgen Nagel found form and set a new Personal Best to qualify number 2 with 5.889/377.71. Japa Kuutniemi ran 5.931/388.79 for a strong 3rd place and Rob Turner set another TMFC PB for fourth spot in the ladder with 6.065/357.16. Dezsoe Krivan ran some test passes before stepping up to a 6.262/295.59, folowed by a struggling Arvid Grødem and Danny Bellio.
