Super Twin Bike Review
14  Super Twin teams on site at Gardermoen to compete in a 8-bike ladder meant serious competition already from qualification session #1.

Per Bengtsson, whose main goal this season is to run quick and especially for the first part of the track, set the standard at Gardermoen. Bengtsson was low qualifier after 4 sessions with 6.473 sec./338.03 km, 0.131 sec ahead of Lorenz Stäuble. Job Heezen and Hans-Olav Olstad was found among top five just as we have seen them all along this season.

And young Jan Sturla Hegré also impressed during qualifications, managing to remain 5th quickest. Having got the word from Hegrés mentor and team collegue Svein-Olav Rolfstad that they will soon step up the bike´s performance level for Hegré, makes me wonder what we can expect for the European Finals at Santa Pod. Hegré unfortunately had to cancel his participation after qualifications and that opened the door for 1st alternate Ismo Mäenpää who stepped in Hegrés place for the eliminations.

Jan Sturla Hegré explained the crank broke during the last qualification run and the new engine did not fit. Other than that the engine was running perfect in the 6.80´s and he said feels great to have qualified at all events already his first season and still being a junior.

Lorenz Stäuble 6.813/333.33 def. Job Heezen 6.884/330.28 so tight race! Only 15/1000
difference over the finish line. wow!

Super Twin Bike Final:
Lorenz Stäuble def. 7.001/280.16 def. Hans-Olav Olstad 16.41/28.12 -Stäuble worked the bike down the track while Olstad did not enjoy the fast run we would have wished
to see.

Points standings after the Gardermoen very tight top 3 being Stäuble (273),  Heezen (271) and Olstad (267). We could not wish for a more thrilling scenario than the champion potentially being crowned during the last final at the last event of the season - However I gather it would be quite nerve wrecking for the riders not least.

Check the points standings to see the full ranking!
