Pro Stock Preview
Michael Callin took the Main Event win by beating the weekend’s quickest driver, Michael Malmgren, on a holeshot. The Lahega driver won’t want to let that happen again.
Alastaro is the last race this season at which the Pro Stockers don’t have to be afraid of Jimmy Ålund. At the Veidec Festival the reigning champion will be back. At Santa Pod, Michael Malmgren was the quickest and most consistent driver of the weekend. But Michael Callin saved his best run for the final and, combined with a 0.032sec reaction time, it was enough to take the win on a holeshot.

Now that Richard Sundblom has had a few weeks to get used to his ex-Tom Hammonds Cobalt, the Finn will be a force to be reckoned with once more. But never count out Tommy Leindahl and Jan Palmqvist. After failing in his mission at Santa Pod, Harald Sturhan will again seek a first 6sec run for himself and for Mercedes. Alastaro is the first 2010 European outing for Swedes Bo Pettersson (Cavalier) and Jonas Engdahl (Dodge Avenger). It will be interesting to see what they can do. Their last European race was the Veidec Festival 2009.
