The
FIA European Drag Racing Championship 2014 consisted of five events in
the four countries of Finland, Sweden, Germany and the UK (first and
last event). We present the new 2014 Champions in brief and look
forward to feature as well the drivers as the crew behind the success,
their plans ahead and more in the next edition (published in
October), so stay tuned for that! FIA Top Methanol Funny Car
Driver: Johan Lindberg (Sweden) Team:
Lindberg Bros. The crew is from Sweden and also operate one almost
identical Top Methanol Funny Car in the NHRA series with Jonnie
Lindberg as driver. It is Johans first European Champions title (he has
won the FIA Pro Modfied Championship once) In 2013 it was Jonnie
Lindberg who was the FIA European Champion.
FIA Pro Modified
Driver: Mattias Wulcan (Sweden) Team:
Wulcano Racing. The crew is Swedish and based around the region of
Linköping (close to the former championship track Mantorp Park). It is
Mattias first FIA European Champions title.

FIA Top Fuel Dragster:
Driver: Thomas Nataas (Norway) Team:
Operated by Andersen Racing, based in Denmark. The crew is from
Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Thomas and Andersen Racing also won the
Championship in 2013
FIA Top Methanol Dragster:
Driver: Chris Polidano (Malta) Team: Kalanc Racing based at Malta. It is Chris and the teams first FIA European Champions title.
FIA Pro Stock
Driver: Jimmy Ålund (Sweden) Team:
J&J Performance, based in Norrköping Sweden (in the region of the
former championship track Mantorp Park). It is Jimmy Ålund´s 9th
Championship title.
