Race Report Sweden Internationals Tierp Arena June 13-16th 2013
Despite very fine weather before the event, the race was limited to three racing days because rain-out on Thursday. Yet, three qualification rounds were completed on Friday and all eliminations less semifinals and finals was performed on Saturday, since the weather forecast before Sunday didn´t look so good. Competition Eliminator: 17 vehicles qualified with Lars- Georg Johansson as No 1 with a 1,0885 sec under index before Jens Eklund and Pererik “Perka” Lindgren. Final winner was Andreas Arthursson who beat Odd Erik Fossum in the final. Odd Erik is the leader in both International and Div. Central. Stock/Super Stock: Biggest class for this weekend , containing 28 cars. Not unusual, Håkan Nordström first with 1,06 sec under index. Yet, qualifier 19th , Per Fagerström made it all the way and beat Englishman Daniel Williams in the final. Jarmo Markkanen, out in the 2nd round is the leader of both International and Div. Central. Super Comp: Mikael Nilsson first in the 18 cars strong field with 8,901 before Kristina Nygren (former Hägglund). For the finals, it was a front engine dragster (Leif Andersson) against a rear engine dragster (Mikael Nilsson) and Mikael took the final win. Norweigian rookie ,Julie Nataas in the lead in International and Robin Norén in Div. Central. Super Gas: Larger field than we have seen for a while, 15 cars. Fredrik Gravningen 1st with a 9,9208 sec. before Håkan “Strawhatt” Mattsson. But in the final there was Bosse Hall against Janne Hallman in his first final. Bosse won in his updated Anglia. In the lead for International and Div. Central , there is Håkan “Strawhat”. Super Street: Except for one car filling up a 16-car ladder which is increasing for the class. Last Tierp runner-up , rookie Marie Wallin in top (10,91) before Tomas Hägg. In the final though, it was Borlänge citizens Christer Gustafsson and Mauri Kamppinen. Christer took the win . Nephew Simon Gustafsson in the lead for both International and Div. Central. |
Jr Dragster: Some smaller numbers than we are used to, 18 qualified dragsters . Simon Brusén first with a reaction time of 0,0053 sec. before Patrik Lind. Tobias Björnsson finally winning over Marcus Back Andersson. Kevin Nataas in the lead for International and Amanda Sjöström-Andersson for Div. Central. Super Street Bike: Still increasing with 11 bikes this time. Once again, Björn Friström as No 1 qualifier (7,5142 sec) before Dane Jesper Johansson. Same guys in the final, where Jesper took the stripe first. Friström though, leading both International and Div. Central. Super Comp Bike: Not so many this time (maybe loosing riders to Super Stree Bike), just 3 bikes were qualified. Bert Nilsén first with 8,5250 before Pelle Lakmaker and Peter Svensson. Bert also won the final against Peter. Asle Malvik, Norway in the lead for International and Bert Nilsén in Div. Central. Super Gas Bike: Fin Jarkko Niemi top qualifier in the 12 bike-ladder with a 9.5021 before last year EDRS winner Tomas Jonsson. Jarkko also took the final over Carl Fodor. Tomas Jonsson is still in the lead for both International and Div.
