Elvira is back!
Pro Stock Bike driver Elvira Karlsson is back on track and that´s for real.
Elvira had a hard winter where she had a bad accident and fell 9 meters and hurt the spine. It was hesitant to start with if she would recover to ever sit on a motorcycle again. Amazingly enough she took two personal best times on a row at the first test race at Tierp Arena.

The first round out was a bit scary as Elvira touched the wall. Luckily not bad, just a touch with the left  footrest against the wall. Elvira is a tough girl and that incident made her even more motivated to do a better round next time. And so she did. A new personal best was set at 7.18sec /298 km/h and the next round she did it again! Another new personal best at 7.12 sec/301 km/h was made, so now she´s really taking up the fight with the guys in the class.
-    I was very concerned after the accident how I would be able to continue with racing, or even if I would be able to walk again, said Elvira after the race. But I really wanted to get back on the bike again, so when it seemed that I should be fine again, I started to work out to get the strength and condition the body need.

And it just felt so good to get in the saddle again and I was really on to it. I was a bit unlucky to touch the wall in first test round, but that wasn’t so bad. Right now I just looking forward to the Sweden Internationals at Tierp Arena.

Last year Elvira landed on a fifth place in the European Championship which is very well done. But that’s not enough for this young girl.  The veterans in the Pro Stock Bike class have to watch up this season. Last year’s Champion Fredrik Fredlund who was the first driver to take a 6 second round and all other participators in FIM Championship 2013 is going to have a tough fight with this just 17 years young iron lady!

-    This year I´m going to win the Championship and my goal is to beat Fredriks 6.995 sec, she says. And few have any doubts about that.
