Adam Flamholc and team MMR Racing made a welcome come back to the FIA European drag racing championship at Santa Pod´s Main Event. Hello all!

We worked hard with both the race car and our team-bus before the European season opener at Santa Pod in England....
The bus left Malmo late Wednesday evening before the event. The team drove through Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium and took the ferry from France to England.

When we arrived at the track it was raining heavily.... Friday was supposed to be "Sportsman racing day" but was cancelled because of the weather. When we woke up on Saturday morning we saw blue skies and the sun was shining! The weather stayed like that for the rest of the weekend.

Our first run was the first ever in Funny Car competition. We made it down (soft...) on a 6.20 run. After that we made four really strong runs! Ran 5.84, 5.67, 5.68, and a 5.80 in the first elimination run against Gareth Ellis.

Unfortunately, we lost the semis against Johan Lindberg in a "pedalfest". That run was the only one one we didn´t make it down the track....

We found out that most of the other teams have a special gas-pedal, that allows them to "adjust" the start rpm. We will have one of those at the next event in Tierp.... Im very satisfied with our weekend, and the guys in the team really raised to the challenge and got everything done in time! After round one we are number three in the points. Now we are looking forward to round four in the ADRL series, and some Pro Mod racing in Richmond, US before we enter the next FIA event, the Sweden Internats at Tierp. Adam in the near lane, UK based funny Stephanie Milam in the far lane European Finals at Santa Pod 2010 - Adam joined the 5 sec-club in Pro Mod. and was handed a certificate by Micke Gullqvist. With the 5.967 performed in 2010, Adam´s is still 5th quickest driver in Europe.
