In this 46th edition since the start 2010 (time simply flies by when you have fun), I think we have lined up more articles than ever!
We are just 10 days away from the first EDRS European Drag Racing Series event for the season and together with the organizers we have lined up a real attractice calendar for teams and spectators to enjoy pretty much from now and all summer long!
In this edition we provide updates from the FIA Championship organizers Santa Pod Raceway, Tierp Arena, FHRA Finland and HockenheimRing.
We have also put together class previews for the season from the FIA Championship classes and in addition an introduction article to the EDRS season.
Changes for this year mean Speedgroup is no longer involved in the FIM (former UEM) Drag Bike Championship. We will however continue to follow and feature individual teams. And as for the Super Twin Bikes and Funny Bikes (where some of the Top Fuel Bike teams are active), they are part of the EDRS European Drag Racing Series and we will of course highlight them from that point of view also.
Also, don´t miss the interesting news from Racepak and ME Racing Services in separate articles and like always we highlight some individual profiles. This time, Lena Perés has spoken with the Granholm sisters and Adam Flamholc. Last but not least, an interesting update from Lindberg Bros, who will operate a two car team in Top Methanol Funny Car this season!
The contingency program sign-up page is thanks to co-ordinator Gittli Kollers hard work up and runnning.
Info published on the website www.speedgroup.eu
and at the EDRS site. Also a full article about contingency in this edition including a link to the sign-up page!
Important to stress is that the contingency commitments are between the drivers and suppliers. No middle hands, drivers claim awards directly from the suppliers when in the winners circle. Any questions about contingency please contact gittli.koller@speedgroup.eu
FINLAND IN FOCUS
Speedgroup recently assigned Kristian Nyström (former Pro Modfied driver) to be the general representative in Finland. Any questions from teams based in Finland can be directed via Kristian (who speaks finnish, english and swedish!)

GUIDELINES
The EDRS European Drag Racing Series 2013 Guidelines document was published April 1st. There are no secrets, all is transparent and anyone involved or simply interested can access it. It describes most aspects on how the series is operated and answers many practical questions.
NEXT NEWSLETTER # 4 2013
Will be published after the first FIA Championship round, the Main Event. It will also include reports from EDRS Nationals, which (for some classes) is also the first round of the Swedish Championship Dragracing-SM
Together with my Speedgroup collegues, we all look forward seeing you at the tracks this season! We always appreciate you come by to see us and express your view in small and large matters connected to anything we are (or can become) involved in!
Best wishes, ÅSA
