SFI Recertification Tour Europe Same
procedure like last year.. The European Recertification tour has become
an institution that works like clock work and like fine wine just gets
better by the year.. Speedgroup took the opportunity to meet with
teams in Finland and Sweden in connection with the SFI Tour and
of course we can´t resist sharing!
The four stops this time included Germany (at the Top Methanol Dragster team Habermann´s work shop. Next stop was Helsinki in Finland,
were the impressive US Parts facilities hosted the event. In connection
with that Speedgroup took the opportunity to meet with FIA, UEM and
EDRS team representatives as well as a number of FHRA officials for a
few hours information and feedback briefing. The third stop was at
Persåkers Speedgroup close to Stockholm Sweden where ME Racing Services
administered the event for the 2nd year and this time had prepared well
in advance and created an online system for registration of parts to be
inspected. ME Racing manager Mats Eriksson said afterwards that he
wished to say a big Thank You to everybody involved that assisted to
make the certification day efficient and enjoyable, nobody mentioned
and nobody forgotten!

Arnie Kuhns SFI founder (left) with UK based chassis builder Andy Robinson - both are on the SFI tech crew during the European tour Lena Perés and Roland Forsberg managed the administration on behalf om ME Racing Services, checked in customers and handled invoicing. They let us know it all went very smoothly and were impressed with the many racers who had pre-registered their parts. In all about 150 inspected bell housings clutches etc for the Sweden stop, which is the country where the most number of racers have base Speedgroup´s Carl-Erik Kihlman, Aila Striem and Åsa Kinnemar were on site to talk series and championship drag racing with the many teams and officials. Top Metanol Dragster driver Krister Johansson got assistance with creating a login for the new regsitration and entry system www.dragracing.eu that Speedgroup and software developer and time keeping company Nitroz develops work together with a number of organizers around, Tierp Arena is the first championship track to make good use of the system.
