About 700 racers from 13 European nations competed in the EDRS European Drag Racing Series administered by Speedgroup during the season at the 26 events in 8 countries which was included. The guests came from several of these countries to participate in this first banquet in the EDRS history. During the day there were meetings for EDRS organizers and Svemo (Swedish bike organization). The awards were presented during the course of the evening and a couple of special awards were given to the Junior Dragster winners. Alamo and ME Racing Service are two of the class sponsors that handed over checks each to the young talented drivers.

The banquet started with dinner, and continued with the price giving ceremony with Christer Abrahamson as presenter.

Trophies, checks and diplomas were given out in twelve classes in three divisions to talent drivers in the series and a diploma to organizers that have done a great job during the season. The evening continued with mingle in the bar and on the dance floor to late night.
