This
edition is a
combined Preview for the European Finals and reporting from the
Scandinavian Internats run at Tierp Arena August 23-26th. An event
which presented us with a number of new personal bests and not less
than 5 new European Record in the FIA and UEM classes!
Congratulations to Svein Olav Rolfstad (UEM Super Twin Bike ET record), Peter Svensson (UEM Top Fuel Bike ET record), Fredrik Fredlund (UEM Pro Stock Bike ET record), Michael Callin (FIA Pro Stock speed record) and Martin Lundkvist
(FIA Pro Modified speed record). Check the awesome numbers under the
European Records page - the link is in the right hand side column!
Eurodragster.com report the following viewer statistics for the
Scandinavian Internats coverage (for the four race days - and with the
knowledge they always get a large number of visitors, hits and page
views on the day after a race in addition).
Unique visitors: 58,320
Hits: 3,828,478
Page views: 429,937
The finals at Tierp Arena was unfortunately not concluded due to
rain (a repeating pattern this season, we had the same scenario in
Finland). It will have an impact on the outcome of this years
championship. The achievement made by the top ranked teams is
nevertheless impressive. Performing consistent at top level is
never easy and there are rarely any shortcuts.
Looking forward towards the European Finals, you find the Entry list under a separate headline and also a General Preview, which will
provide a summary and insight to what the FIA and UEM championships
situation looks like when we enter this last event of the season 2012.

US based editor Ed Ó Connell has provided us an interesting article
about what makes European Drag Racing so interesting under the Editor´s
Diary headline. That and
much more in this edition!
