There will be a new contest at each of the 5 Championship events where any team participating in the event can be awarded with $250 worth of custom crew apparel from Vicci.

The Best Dressed Team contest apply to all teams, pro and sportsman, car and bike at the following events:

FHRA Nitro Nationals,
Alastaro Finland june 30^th – july 3^rd

For each event Speedgroup and Vicci  assign a host jury person to assist on site and at the Main Event we felt a natural choice was to ask Andy "Tog" Rogers who run the no. 1 drag racing news site in Europe -Eurodragster.com.

From Tog´s position at the Santa Pod control tower, he monitors all action on track and he will have watched all teams pass by when the event is over and can select a team that have made an effort in regards to their crew appearance. What they wear can be of any brand or even their own design. It is the thought and effort Vicci and Speedgroup wish to award.

The $250 gift certificate can be changed for apparel with Vicci and no additional purchase must be made. If wishing to withdraw the amount from a forthcoming order the amount can be saved with Vicci for one year.

Products like lanyards, ticket holders and hats are also within Vicci´s line of products beside the custom made team clothing.

Speedgroup co-ordinator Åsa Kinnemar explains the reasons why  Speedgroup wish to highlight and encourage teams that wear team shirts or uniforms;

- To start with, it provides a great platform to display sponsor logos in a good way and can be a useful tool in attracting new sponsors. In that sense you kind of  "are what you look like" and a professional looking appearance will make a difference, no doubt about that.

- Each combined FIA & UEM championship event is filmed for TV and it is very important that people that appear on camera are dressed in a professional way.

- Creating a unique team uniform design helps build the team brand and is a moderate investment that can last over more than one season if designed with that in mind.

- Last but not least team uniforms help spectators, officials and other teams identify each other, something that is very useful in the crowded environment the race track and pit area most often is. I can only refer to the practical identifying aspect we have noticed with our own Speedgroup shirts.

With the number of teams we have at a full combined FIA/UEM and sportsman event close to 300 teams in the pit area we can not expect everybody to recognise us by look, but when wearing Speedgroup shirts we are very easy to spot and it serves its purpose very well.
