SFI RECERTIFICATION TOUR Stop Sweden March 26th 2011
For two days the SFI tour were on site at Persåkers Speedshop in Åkers Styckebruk Sweden to inspect and recertify clutches, bell housings, wheels and more. The European tour concept started already in the mid 90´s. With hardly no manufacturers based in Europe, before that parts that needed to be recertified had to be sent to the US.

The SFI European tour has since then become an established phenomena and stops this year included the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and the UK. 


Swedish Top Fuel and Pro Mod chassis builder Mats Eriksson´s company ME Racing Services have been appointed by SBF, the Swedish automobile sports federation to co-ordinate the swedish SFI recert. event. Mats and crew were on site to assist hands on and to learn the administrative routines connectedt to the recertification system.

More than 90 teams based in Sweden, Norway and Denmark had sent parts to Persåkers Speedshop in advance or brought the parts in person. Present were as well officials and tech representatives, as drivers and crew members. Below we show some of them!

Lars-Göran Eriksson of ME Racing Services assisted the recert. crew and had a very busy day!


Roland Forsberg and Lena Perés was on top of all administration - Roland has a background in Competition Eliminator while Lena is active in the Pro Mod class and also frequent Speedgroup editor & photographer!

Top Fuel driver Stig Neergard had driven from Denmark to get parts recertified. The Neergard team 2011 consist of two cars and drivers, Stig and son Kenni.
