Ian King, Steve Carey, Steve Woollatt and Kevin Charman on home turf. Charman came from the funny bike class and has has been a welcome addition to the class, that is steady increasing in numbers of participants.

Ian King had impressed with his new bike this season and again at Santa Pod he managed a fine 6.251 during qualifications. That put him in second place after Peter Svensson, who continued what he had started in Hockenheim, continuing the 5-secomd streak AND improving. His 5.881during qualifications was a new personal best!

Woollatt and Paljakka presented steady numbers during qualifications. Woollatt 3rd with 6.34 sec and Paljakka 4th at 6.42 sec.

Sverre Dahl was not at his best during qualifications. No run in the 6 sex range put him in the 7th position and that meant he was up against championship leader Ian King 1st round. Kings title chance went away as the bike lost traction and smoked the tyre. With both Svensson and Paljakka still in competition after the first round King stayed in the 3rd place in the championship.

Peter Svenssons way through the eliminations went via wins over Otto Kneble and in the semi finals Petri Paljakka got to see his title chances disappear. Petri the 2010 champion, but against Svensson´s 6.01 sec. he could do nothing.

On the other side of the ladder in the semi finals Steve Wollatt up against Sverre Dahl. Nice tight race where Dahl took the win by .0504 sec. Wollatts ET 6.48 to Dahl´s 6.46.

In the final concluded the race by another 5 second run, while Dahl´s tyre smoked at the hit and the race was over just after that.

Don´t miss to read Peter Svensson and team Kendalls own pressrelease! Congratulations to an amazing achivement and well done to the Top Fuel Bike teams that have constituted a good show this season and presenting competitive racing and good numbers. The class will we are pretty sure be a few bikes stronger next season, making it even more exciting.
