NitrOlympx General Review
The 26th NitrolympX included the return of the European UEM Drag Bike Championship after a 7 year pause.

ABOUT THE NITROLYMPX:
The event was included in the UEM European Drag Bike Championship. It was round #6 for the UEM Drag Bike teams and round #4 in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In addition a number of NDRS sportsman teams were on site to compete. The organizer of the event was HockenheumRing in co operation with Badischer Motorsport Club. Read more about the outcome and results for each class under the class reports. TV-PRODUCTION

NITRO FM INTERVIEW



Check out what Speedgroup co ordinator Åsa Kinnemar had to tell on site in Hockenheim about Speedgroup´s role in the European Championship. Video interview produced by radio channel Nitro FM announcer Kaz Aston and online at You Tube and in addition a number of interesting interviews with the drivers and riders on site at Hockenheim. Nitro FM is normally operating out of Santa Pod Raceway UK and will of course be covering the European Finals.


Speedgroup got a special award from the organizer presented by race director Jerry Lackey for our role in assisting the organizers in connection with the NitrOlympx. Speedgroup´s service center on site at Hockenheim had a central location in the pits where Aila and Åsa assisted teams, the organizers in information and matters that needed sorting. Also information was provided to the spectators about the championship.  


Kjell Pettersson was on site as consultant in the art of track preparation, he helped make sure the track was in the best possible condition and the teams were happy to learn of Kjell´s involvement. This year he has also been part of the success story at Tierp Arena and in assisting the finnish organizer FHRA preparing the track. Race director Jerry Lackey presented Kjell with a special award.


   Top Fuel Dragster driver Urs Erbacher was a busy man attending to hundreds of invited VIP-guests, giving interviews and piloting the Fat Attack top fueller. Some of Erbachers custom built motorcycles was on display and the interest for the action at Erbacher´s pit area was
as always big at his home track Hockenheim 
 
 

The track at 9.30 saturday evening. The nightshow on saturday evening is part of the NitrOlympx, although not included in the championship it include some FIA and UEM teams- this time in Top Fuel Dragster, Super Twin and Top Fuel Bike. In addition many special features were displayed to entertain the massive crowd that the NitrOlympx attract every year
